These mini-drawings, approximately 3"x8", were inspired by spiritual and alchemical symbols. Mixed media on vellum.

These drawings were created out of my curiosity and research of a combination of things. Namely, art as a visual language, the use of symbols throughout history, the role of "play" in art and our primal instincts to communicate. I enjoyed using colorful chalk pastels as the vehicle for these studies. I also used india ink, conte crayons, china markers, oil pastels, white-out, and colored pencil sticks.
